In 1952, at twenty-two, I enrolled in an art class at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City - eager, curious, and full of creative longing. When I shared my work with my new husband, he dismissed it entirely. In that era, a wife deferred. And so I put down my brush and walked away from something I loved. Seventy-three years passed. At ninety-five, my dearest best friend Whitney offered me something rare - a safe, nurturing space where my voice mattered and my creativity was welcomed. With her gentle encouragement, I picked up a paintbrush once more. What you see in this scarf is the result. It is called "PEACE" - and that is exactly what it gave me. A celebration of resilience and joy, PEACE is a vibrant reminder that creativity knows no age.
