A Season of Reflection, Grace & New Beginnings

A Season of Reflection, Grace & New Beginnings

Whitney Glandon

As the year draws to a close, the holiday season always invites a quieter kind of reflection - a moment to pause, breathe, and take stock of where we’ve been and where we’re gently being guided next.

This time of year feels especially meaningful. The pace softens just enough to notice the beauty around us: winter light filtering through bare branches, the comfort of familiar rituals, and the grounding presence of nature reminding us to stay rooted even as we move and dream forward.

For me, horses have always embodied that balance so beautifully. Their strength and grace, their sensitivity and quiet power feel like living reminders of trust, movement, and connection. I grew up riding and competing, and the discipline, patience, and respect that horses teach is something you carry for life. They teach us how to listen without words, how to be fully present, and how to move through the world with both intention and compassion. During the holidays, those lessons feel especially poignant - a gentle invitation to enter the new year with clarity, courage, and heart.

As I’ve been reflecting and creating, I’ve found myself naturally drawn back to this lifelong connection.  I’ve shared my ideas for incorporating horses into some of our upcoming designs with Barbara, and we’re both excited to explore this new chapter together. This is something that holds deep personal meaning for me. Interestingly, it was only after I began exploring this direction that I learned 2026 is the Year of the Horse in the Chinese zodiac. That quiet alignment felt deeply affirming, as if this next chapter was unfolding exactly as it was meant to - guided by instinct, memory, and movement.

At Inspired Floral Designs NYC, this season is also about gratitude. For friendships that inspire us. For creativity that continues to bloom at every age. And for each of you who support our small, made-to-order business and in doing so, help plant trees, nurture communities, and keep art deeply human and intentional.

As we look ahead, the new year brings exciting creative chapters: fresh designs, evolving collections, and thoughtful pieces that continue to celebrate nature, beauty, and the stories behind every brushstroke and photograph. Each creation is rooted in intention and purpose - designed to be worn, gifted, and cherished, never rushed or mass-produced.

The holidays remind us that meaningful gifts aren’t just objects - they’re expressions of love, presence, and care. Whether it’s a silk scarf inspired by one of our paintings, a candle that adds warmth to a winter evening, or a card that carries words from the heart, these are the moments that linger long after the season ends.

Thank you for being part of this journey this year and always. May the holidays bring you peace, beauty, and inspiration, and may the year ahead unfold with creativity, connection, and new beginnings. Bringing beauty, nature, hope and inspiration together- rooted in purpose and made with love.

With gratitude and warmth,
Whitney & Barbara
