With the holidays approaching, we decided to embark on a different artistic endeavor—baking. The result? A heavenly, healthy, and delicious banana bread that not only satisfied our taste buds but also gave us another reason to explore and create something. While classical music filled the air, Barbara meticulously mashed the ripe bananas and blended the the wet ingredients, while I, alongside, prepared the flour and dry components. The synergy between creativity and baking skills led to a delightful experience that transcended the ordinary. Both are expressions of art, each piece unique and infused with our creative energy. Classic Banana Bread: The Recipe
Inspired Floral Designs NYC's Exclusive Banana Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
- 3 large ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 2 eggs (for a vegan option, use egg replacer or flax seed "egg")
- 1 cup King Arthur all-purpose organic flour
- 1/2 cup almond flour- you can use other flours but we like the texture best with almond
- 2 pinches of sea salt
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp organic cinnamon
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Lightly oil the loaf pan.
- Combine mashed bananas, olive oil, vanilla, maple syrup, and eggs in one bowl.
- In a separate bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, almond flour, sea salt, baking powder, and cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 40-47 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the banana bread to cool on a rack before slicing.
Enjoy plain or toasted with a dollop of oat butter! Delicious!
